Be the narrator of your own stories from the Vietnam War era to increase the understanding of the Vietnam War era on you and your family – and for future generations.

Our goal is to preserve and tell the personal stories of those who lived through this life-changing era.

Because these oral histories are important historically to our understanding of this time and place, it is important to strive to record candid information of lasting value.

Purpose: The Excelsior Springs Museum & Archives invites veterans to participate in its Oral History Project funded with a grant from Missouri Humanities.

Format: Our interviewers will use a digital camera to record your oral history interviews. The interviewer will not ask intrusive questions. The questions used are from the Library of Congress for their Veterans Project.

Preservation: The Museum will create a permanent record of this collection of oral histories to be used by researchers and the public for educational purposes including publications, exhibitions, presentations, broadcast or webcast.
